Educational content, not advice
Finančná Logika provides educational and informational content. We explain the concepts, show the formulas, and let you run your own numbers so that you understand what is happening.
Neither the content nor the calculator results are, or can be:
- financial advice,
- an investment recommendation or investment research,
- tax advice,
- legal advice,
- an offer of, or brokerage for, any financial product,
- a guarantee of a future return or of any particular outcome.
We are not a bank, an insurer, a securities dealer or a financial intermediary, and we are not licensed to provide financial advice.
How our calculators work
The calculators work solely from the figures you enter. If you enter an expected return of 7%, the result shows what would happen at 7%. It is not a prediction that such a return will occur.
The models are simplified. They assume things like steady growth, an unchanging interest rate or constant inflation, whereas reality fluctuates. The assumptions behind each calculation are stated next to the calculator itself, and they are worth reading.
A result may not account for fees, taxes, individual terms, or your overall financial situation.
Investments
Past performance is no guarantee of future returns.
The value of an investment can fall as well as rise, and you may not get back even the amount you put in. An expected return entered into a calculator is an assumption, not a promise, and the actual outcome may differ substantially in either direction.
Mortgages and loans
The actual terms of a loan depend on the individual bank and on the applicant’s own circumstances.
Our calculations use a simplified annuity model. A bank assesses creditworthiness, the value of the property, the loan-to-value ratio and other factors that can change both the rate and the payment considerably.
Unless stated otherwise, we do not account for arrangement fees, insurance, early repayment charges, or the rate change once a fixed period ends. Only what is in your contract is binding.
Tax
Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and can change over time. Where a calculator lets you enter tax on returns, that is a simplification rather than an assessment of your tax liability. For your specific situation, consult a tax adviser.
Accuracy of the content
We prepare the content carefully and cover the calculation engines with automated tests. Even so, we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or current: legislation, rates and market conditions all change.
If you find an error, we would be glad to hear about it.
Your responsibility
Financial decisions are yours to make and yours to bear. Before a decision that has a material impact on you, consult a licensed professional who knows your full situation.
The detailed limitation of liability is set out in the Terms of Use.
