Terms of use

Finančná Logika is an educational platform. It provides articles, an encyclopedia of terms, interactive calculators and tools for comparing financial decisions.

We are not a bank, an insurer, a securities dealer or a financial intermediary. We provide no financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we broker no financial products. The details are in the Disclaimer.

The platform is operated by MC&JC Trade s. r. o., registered office Karpatské námestie 7770/10A, 831 06 Bratislava – mestská časť Rača, company ID 56905947, tax ID 2122493296, VAT ID SK2122493296 (registered under §7a of the Slovak VAT Act), entered in the Obchodnom registri Mestského súdu Bratislava III, oddiel Sro, vložka č. 187128/B.

Most of the content, the calculators, the encyclopedia and the articles alike, is available free of charge and without registration.

We offer no paid features and no subscription. You pay nothing to use the platform and we ask you for payment details nowhere. If we ever introduce a paid part, we will set out its scope, price, payment method and withdrawal terms here first, and launch it only afterwards.

Creating an account is voluntary. Registration asks for an email address, a password and, optionally, a display name.

• Give accurate and current details.
• Keeping your password safe is your responsibility. Do not share it with anyone.
• You are responsible for anything done under your account.
• If you suspect your account has been misused, contact us without delay.
• Accounts are for individuals over 16 years of age. That threshold is the age at which, under the Slovak data protection act, a child’s consent in an information society service is valid. A younger visitor can read the content without an account.

When using the platform, the following is prohibited:

• circumventing security, or gaining access to other people’s accounts or to the administration,
• downloading content automatically (scraping) beyond ordinary browsing, or placing an unreasonable load on the infrastructure,
• disrupting the service or probing it for vulnerabilities without our agreement,
• impersonating another person or the operator,
• using the platform for unlawful activity.

If these rules are broken we may restrict access or close the account, in serious cases without prior warning.

The platform currently does not allow users to publish content of their own. There are no comments, reviews or discussions. If we add such a feature, we will extend these terms accordingly.

Content in the administration is created solely by the operator’s authorised editors and administrators.

The text of the articles and the encyclopedia, the calculation models behind the calculators, the source code, the design, the logo and the graphic elements are protected by copyright and are the property of the operator unless stated otherwise.

You may read, print and share links to the content for personal and educational purposes. Without our written consent you may not copy it at scale, redistribute it, exploit it commercially, or create derivative works from it.

When quoting, cite the source and link to the original page.

The content is not released under a Creative Commons licence or any other public licence. If you would like to use it beyond what is described above, in teaching, in the media or in another publication for instance, write to us. We usually come to an arrangement.

The calculators work solely with the figures you enter, and they compute directly in your browser. Your numbers are not sent to our server.

Results are indicative and rest on simplified models. The assumptions they rely on are stated next to each calculator. The actual outcome may differ.

The platform may link to third-party websites. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it. Other sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, by a technical fault, or for reasons on the part of our infrastructure providers.

We reserve the right to change, extend or discontinue the content, the features and the scope of the service at any time.

You can close your account at any time. Write to us at email address. Data is deleted according to the periods set out in the Privacy policy.

We may also close an account if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service.

The content is provided “as is”, and although we prepare it carefully, we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or current.

We are not liable for loss arising from a decision made on the basis of the content or of a calculator’s results. Financial decisions are yours to make and yours to bear; for your particular situation, consult a licensed professional.

This does not affect liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, in particular for intentional acts, gross negligence and personal injury, nor consumer rights arising from mandatory provisions.

We may update these terms. A new version will be published on this page together with its effective date. Registered users will be notified of any material change.

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. The courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, such as the Slovak Trade Inspection, or to use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
